Spring 2023, our big adventure begins. We find and buy La maison de Bellerive. The estate of over 2 acres also includes a huge barn, an old tobacco barn and a poplar forest. The big dream is to convert the tobacco barn into a wheelchair accessible holiday home for six people. Pending the permits, the house has now been transformed into a charming holiday home.

The first night we enjoyed a quiet and good sleep! This was a welcome surprise. Upon arrival we were welcomed by the myriad of birdsongs, blooming roses and the calm flowing river Dordogne. With the prospect of three weeks holidays we had enough time to get acquainted, to enjoy and start first improvements. Because let's be honest when you see this picture: this house is 'begging' to be made beautiful!

Enton is the handyman, discovers the most beautiful broquante and never gives up untill result is reached. Helena runs the backoffice, helps with odd jobs and loves writing stories. We alternate living and working in the Netherlands with renovation work and the french life at La Bellerive.
